“Soaring to a New Height!” Plane Installation Art Exhibition Held in Xintiandi 新天地，“放大你的生活”！“放飞你的梦想”！
Shanghai Xintiandi recently presents the event “Soaring to a new height!” under its yearly campaign of “Live Life Large”. It featured ten paper-plane designs that best capture the spirit of soaring to new heights. Among them, Belgian designer and photographer, Christophe Demaitre made gorgeous sceneries of Shanghai’s city landscape depicted on the fuselage, and images of the city’s bustling crowds on the wings. And another Chinese young artist used her wit and humor by adding the “wings” for the penguin, the duck, the ostrich, etc; because she thought some birds cannot fly due to their physical attributes, but maybe one day they can get on a helicopter to overlook the world in the sky and still achieve their dream.

10月底，上海新天地带来了全新的“放大你的生活”系列活动之“放飞你的梦想”飞机装置艺术展。此次活动以纸飞机为主线，展示了十位不同国籍的选手设计的纸飞机作品，充分展现了设计师们对梦想的无限畅想。其中，王燕洁在自己的作品《插着翅膀的“鸟”》中，用诙谐、多彩、幽默的方式传达着实现梦想过程的重要性，企鹅、鸭子、鸵鸟等等这些不会飞的鸟类后代们都被按上了“翅膀”。而擅长摄影和绘画的比利时艺术家Christophe Demaitre则将梦想扩大到了整个城市发展的高度：机身上用黑白影像营造出日新月异的上海都市景观，机翼上的图片则着重表现城市中人头攒动的景象。
